Catalogue of the art exhibition held to coincide with the Empire Exhibition of 1936. Artworks and sculpture from the Commonweath countries were represented including from the United Kingdom and Canada. The Fine Arts Committee was headed by Prof ML du Toit and Alexis Preller was on the hanging committee.
Lists all of the exhibited works, many of which were for sale including what now regard as among the greats- Irma Stern, Anton van Wouw, Pierneef etc. as well as Edward Wolfe (who was associated with the Bloomsbury Group).
