First edition. 272 pages, 2 colour maps, 20 full page clour plates, numerous colour illustrations, half leather with green cloth boards, titled gilt on the spine with gilt vignette on upper cover top edge gilt, housed in a matching green cloth slip case with illustration of an erica laid down, a very good copy.

No 30 of a limited edition of 100 copies presented to R.G. Jeffery and signed by the authors.

From the foreword: By far the largest of the genera in our flora is Erica: with 657 species to its credit it has almost twice as many as the next largest genus or even the whole protea family.
