Published by Gale and Polden, London, 1910. 1st Edition. 377 pages. Very good but worn and dust brown cloth covers gilt. Internally very good with a frontispiece map of South Africa and numerous other sketch maps as called for.

The book details various phases of the Boer War (1899-1902), examining military operations and strategies. The opening of the book introduces the author’s motivations and objectives for writing this handbook, emphasizing his personal experience of serving in the Boer War for twenty-six months.  Scarce.
