One of the more important paper records of the fall of apartheid. It comprises extracts from the trial of Mr Mandela at the Old Synagogue from 15 October to 7 November 1962 and his statement from the dock in the Pretoria Supreme Court on 20 April 1964, which ended with his now famous words which form the title of this booklet.

This publication carries a note on the title page explaining that, whilst this booklet was "seized" under the emergency media regulations promulgated in 1987, and Learn & Teach Publications subsequently lost the court action to reclaim the booklets taken, that the booklet itself is "still legal" as it was never banned! As a reader you were thus "perfectly entitled to own or possess a copy of this booklet".
