This first edition, in Afrikaans, appears to be a limited release. No other listed copies can be found with only the later 1991 English edition found in the Namibia Scientific Society Library listings.
Professor Dr. Paul Gerhard Söhnge, born the son of missionaries in South Africa, studied in Stellenbosch and came to Tsumeb in 1950. He published several works. The development of the Tsumeb mine experienced a golden age under Dr. Söhnge's leadership and in 1953, the de Wett shaft was put into operation.
