A very scarce first edition of C. Louis Leipoldt's famous cook book. The author was a medical doctor who, in his spare time, wrote numerous popular (and now classic) early Afrikaans detective novels, poetry and history books. He was both a great culinary enthusiast and chef and in his recipe book recorded over one thousand traditional recipes covering the whole spectrum of the culinary experience.
