John Miles is an award winning Afrikaans author and poet who co-founded the publishing firm TAURUS. It was the first Afrikaans children's book to be banned.
LIEFS NIE OP STRAAT NIE, published in 1970, was his first book.
The dust jacket was designed by South African poet and artist Wopko Jensma, who, during the 1960's and 70's published three collections of poetry. He mysteriously disappeared in 1993 and was never seen again.
