The Black Watch is a line infantry battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, formed in 1881 by the amalgamation of two Highland regiments. It has a long and distinguished history of service in various wars and conflicts, and is known for its red hackle and tartan uniform. It includes a study of General Charles G Gordon and his Commission from the British and Egyptian Governments to Khartoum.
