Nicolas Gouïn Dufief (c. 1776–1834) was a French language teacher who taught in England and America. For nearly twenty-five years he taught French with success in America and in England, to which he returned about 1818. His chief work is ‘Nature displayed in her mode of teaching Language to Man’ which despite its size and costliness reached a twelfth edition in the author's lifetime. (wikipedia.com)

Condition: Fair. Wear, rubbing, stains and scratches to the boards, front board has almost come loose. Wear to spine, with small sections missing. Previous owner’s signature to front pastedown. Title page has been trimmed and reinforced. Closed tear to p v. First few pages have come loose. Wear to last few pages. Overall text is clean. Please also see photos.
