This is an original incunabula leaf from the second volume of "Commentaria in Bibliam" by St. Jerome. It was published within the first fifty years (1451-1501) after Johannes Gutenberg invented printing with moveable type.

It contains all of St. Jerome's biblical commentaries dating from the fourth and fifth centuries which were compiled and published in this work. The exact date of publication was provided by the publisher in the colophon of this book. In early printed books a colophon contained all the necessary bibliographical information i.e. date, place of publication, printer etc., much like a copyright page in books published today.

This leaf is 520 years old. The folio-sized paper leaf measures 345 mm x 220 mm in totality and contains 60 lines of Roman and Gothic type printed single column in Latin.
