This title was produced for the author at the Art Printing Works in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia.

Servaas Le Roux was born in 1868 and was a mighty hunter himself, but in this book he stays modestly in the background and gives the reader sketches of the other great hunters of the time. Some, like David Hume, virtually unremembered, who preceded Livingstone and Oswell in his travels through the Kalahari.

Original red cloth covered boards with gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. x prelims, 198 pages and 12 black and white plates. Errata slip just before the index at page 191.

CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has stain marks and is a bit worn. There are a few soil marks internally. The marginal notes, mostly in pencil, a few in pen, are a distraction for the purist, but add to the content. Internally, mostly fresh and clean, but some pages have a light crease.
