Small oblong album, (90 x 115 mm) bound in black simulated leather containing 30 postcards of on-board scenes and views of South Africa. Each post card in attached to a perforated stub to be torn off and posted. The cards have captions opposite. All cards are present, one is loose having been torn of at the stub. A list of the cards is provided as well as a list of the Fleet of the Union-CastleLine. The binding is loose but is holding on the tie.

'The Publishers o the UNION CASLE LINE Post-card Album beg to call special attention to the artistic and finished style of the publications and to the fact that each Post-card cost 1d. (one penny)there being 30 cards in each Album which is sold on board at the low price of 2/6 (two shillings and six pence). The Artistic Publicity Co., 60 The Haymarket, London S.W.'

A typed note bound in opposite the title page reads: Won in the sport held on THE DUNLUCE CASTLE BY JOSEPH SWINGEWOOD sailing from Southampton to South Africa May, 1911.
