First Edition: (ii), 231, (xii bijlagen) pages, half title page, large folding map coloured in outline as frontispiece (torn at the first fold), original paper covered boards with a printed title label on the spine - the paper is rubbed and worn along the edges, content clean, a very good copy.

Mendelssohn (Sidney) South African Bibliography, volume 1, pages 161/2, 'Journey in the interior of South Africa in 1803. With the intention of exploring the different bays and harbours along the south-east coast in order to find out how far they are suitable for the coast and over-sea traffic, and how the islands adjacent to the coast are situated with regard to the culture of products, in order to be able to export them at a profit to Cape Town, and elsewhere, outside the Colony, principally to Holland. By B. F. Von Bouchenroeder, formerly Major in the Dutch service. With his amended map. Printed for the author.
