Publisher's pebble-grained cloth binding with gilt titles to spine.
294pp. Illustrated.
An account of Robert Moffat's Missionary Labours and Scenes in South Africa, specially prepared for the use of children. Mendelssohn (Vol.II, page 30) states that the volume was largely circulated in Great Britain and South Africa. This American edition indicates that the little volume enjoyed a fair bit of circulation in the States as well.
The American edition is extremely scarce and is not recorded in the South African Bibliography.
Binding tight. Contents clean. Former owner's name on front endpaper, "P. Winterbottom 1873".
