252pp. Hardcover binding with black lettering to spine. Condition: Good. Some rubbing and slight stains to boards, sunning, slight stains and slight shelfwear to spine. Front endpaper missing. Two small stains to verso of half title page and to full title page. Light foxing to edges of textblock, some splitting to gutters between various pages. Text clean.

Herbert Adams (1874–1958) was an English writer of fifty 'cosy' mystery novels, 28 featuring the detective Roger Bennion, a golfer and amateur sleuth whose cases are often set in or around golfing competitions; and 9 feature Jimmie Haswell, a London lawyer.
