First edition: 171 pages, frontispiece of the Officers of the 5th Dragoon Guards in Green Horse Valley, 6 photographic plates, coloured folding map of Ladysmith at the end, light foxing, original red cloth boards with gilt regimental crest on upper cover, titled gilt on the spine, which is slightly faded, a very good copy.
