First Edition. Folio. 800pp. Bound in full calf boards with title in gilt to spine. Raised bands on the spine. Bookplate of Alex Brodie of Brodie, Lord Lyon (Alexander Brodie was a Scottish politician and clan chief who served as the Lord Lyon King of Arms from 1727 to 1754).

The book is well worn, commensurate with age. The boards are bumped with particular wear to the tail of the spine. All of the contents, plates and fold outs appear to be present, including the fold-out map of the London (the map is more browned than it appears to be in the photo). Scattered damp stains, nibbles to a number of pages and a handful of worm holes. The index at the back of the book is present but has become detached. The worn condition is reflected in the price. Note: This is a large and heavy book and may require extra shipping costs.

  • Binding Condition: Well worn
  • Overall Condition: Good
  • Size: Folio
