This scarce book printed in a small limited edition was based on an unpublished manuscript by Wilhelm Treue, "History of the Otavi Mining and Railway Company 1900-1975". With numerous photographic illustrations and maps; including the double-page coloured map "German South West Africa. Map of the Swakopmund-Tsumeb Railway, including the Swakopmund-Windhuk Government Railway" with inserted the "Map of the land area of the South West Africa Company, Ltd.", showing the land and mining rights of the Otavi Mining and Railway Company, and the "Map of the Tsumeb Mine".

The book also includes the complete "Chronicle of Otavi Mines Ltd. (1900-2000)" both in german and english language; and the complete lists of Management and Board of Directors of the Otavi Mining and Railway Company (1900-1976), and Board of Directors and Supervisory Board of Otavi Minen AG (1976-2000).
