218 pages followed by numerous black & white photographs.

Inscribed by the late South African Apartheid-era struggle hero and political icon Mangosuthu Buthelezi on the title page to Professor Emeritus Hermann Giliomee, who is based at the University of Stellenbosch and is an author of political and historical studies.

Inscription reads, "To Professor Hermann Giliomee with my respect and best wishes, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, 19 June 2013, Cape Town."
