Black and white ink drawings of wildlife throughout the book by Hilda Stevenson-Hamilton. She was the wife of James Stevenson Hamilton, who served from 1902–1946 as the first warden of South Africa's Sabi Nature Reserve, which was expanded under his watch and became Kruger National Park in 1926. She would have lived among and personally studied the animals she illustrated for the book .

Lovely stories about monkeys. A rare , older South African children's book.
“You must often have heard people say when it rains and the sun shines at the same time, it is a monkeys’ wedding.”
