This first South African edition, published in Cape Town by Geo. Winderley from 1928 to 1930, is quite uncommon. Although the title page states that this edition is in six volumes, only five appeared. Volume six was in preparation but appeared posthumously in the Archives Year Book for 1939.

This is a fine and unread set with all volumes having solid bindings and clean pages.
