Nuno Beja Valdez Thomas dos Santos (1935-2011), was an Infantry Colonel, with service commissions in Angola and Guinea-Bissau, and former director of the Army library. Nuno Valdez dos Santos left us numerous works in the field of military historical research, among which are "The Unknown Niassa", "The Seven Hundred Years of Naval Studies in Portugal" and several other works dedicated to naval studies and Historical Artillery, where he was one of the best researchers of his time, member of the Portuguese Academy of History, the Navy Academy and the Military History Commission.

Paperback binding partly sunned and little discolored, with some bumping, but whole and tight. The volume seems to be never opened, even it is an ex-library copy. Text block/pages are perfectly bright and clear, no any signes of use, no foxing, markings or annotations. Well preserved copy.
