Tributes sent to ZAR President Paul Kruger while in exile.

The manuscript is written "in one hand" by a clerk according to a pencil inscription on flep. The signature block is a transcription. 58 handwritten pages, trimmed and bound in stiff paper wrappers.

Most of the manuscript pages feature a  watermark of the Dutch lion rampant holding a sword, placed within a crowned medallion with the inscription - Propatria Eendragt Maakt Magt.

Contents:

1. Betuigingen van sympathie met het overlyden van Mevrou Kruger (pp. 7).

2. Brieven van Krygsgevangenen (pp. 11). This section is a reproduction of section 3.

3. Brieven van Krygsgevangenen, bewoners van verschillende Concentratiekampen (pp. 11).

4. Een gelyksvorking schryven, 30 Juli 1901, van vrouwen en meisjes der beide republieken te Pietermaritzburg gevangen gehouden (pp. 7).

5. Een dergelyk schryven, Juli 1901, werd onb(e)vangen uit Johannesburg van de heeren PJ van Os, ens (pp. 2).

Pages are clean and legible throughout. This unusual Anglo-Boer War item is in very good condition.
