384 pages.  Hardback, 1st Edition. 1860.  Covered board, leather corner and spine.  Boards are well worn with much of the non-leather places scuffed or missing. Hinges are worn but intact.  Gold lettering on spine.  Pages are cleaning and tight, though growing brown through age.  Some foxing throughout.  Overall in good condition for its age.

The novel explores themes of courage, determination, resilience, and religious faith.  It is considered a classic of maritime literature,
