Scarce publication on Coloured Soldiers from the Cape fighting in WWI. The author describes the recruitment process, training, setting out to fight, various battles and skirmishes with the enemy, and the eventual return of the regiment to SA.
Condition: Good. Some rubbing, sections of sunning and edgewear to boards, small stains to rear board, sunning to spine, some shelfwear to top and tail of spine. Previous owner’s bookplate to front pastedown. Front endpaper missing. Light smudging to dedication page. Small stains to fore edges of pages and fore edges of rear endpaper and pastedown. Text and plates are clean. Well bound.
