Established 1989 we run a full time shopfront store open 6 days a week. We are interested in all aspects of Africana, and specialise particularly in that related to the Eastern Cape and the 1820 Settlers. We issue irregular email catalogues of new Africana acquisitions. Founder Member SABDA.
Books accepted for auction at a percentage fee based upon the hammer price and exclusive of levied auction fees, and financial costs such as credit card fees and forex charges etc which are for the sellers account.
Items which fall under the relevant National Treasures Act may require the provision of an export permit. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide this notwithstanding that payment must be made promptly on conclusion of the auction.
Recognised institutions may qualify for our providing a payment invoice. Please make a formal request so that we can extend this facility prior to bidding as this may not always be possible.
Post-auction offers for unsold items are not accepted. Items will return to the original on-line price.
