Edition limited to 500 numbered copies and signed by the author. This is number 214.

Green cloth binding with pictorial dust jacket.

Former copy of art historian and author Esmé Berman with her signature on front endpaper and dated 1981.

Contains a useful bibliography of the books that were illustrated by Harries, one being the scarce . . .

2.) DON QUIXOTE VISITS A PRINTING OFFICE, OR, THE INGENIOUS KNIGHT DON QUIXOTE DE LA MANCHA PAYS A VISIT TO A PRINTING OFFICE IN BARCELONA 

One of the earliest publications featuring the illustrations of Harries and limited to 300 copies.

'This episode in the story of Don Quixote de la Mancha, translated in 1712 by Peter Anthony Motteux, from the original Spanish of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, comes to you with greetings for the New Year 1947 from the Chairman and Committee of the Imprint Society Johannesburg, South Africa.'

The colophon at the end reads:

'If Don Quixote had visited Basutoland one day in 1946 he would have found again, at the Morija Printing Works, "all the variety that is to be seen in great printing-houses" and went into the making even of this little publication. No. 10 of those issued by the Imprint Society. The illustrations are by Katrine Harries, & H.P. Schmoller did the "picking letters out of the cases". The type is Jan van Krimpen's Lutetia italic and the paper an air-dried Ledger. 300 copies were printed, of which this is No. 131.'
