Red leatherette boards with titling on spine, new end pages, pp. xiv + 305 + fold-out map at the back, illustrated with b&w plates.  Light foxing on first and last few pages, else very good.

"The scarcer of Percival's works, this is similar to his A Game Ranger's Note Book in its systematic approach to examining various species of big game in Kenya Colony. There are plenty of hunting episodes after rhinoceros, buffalo, lion and a plethora of antelope. There is also an interesring tidbit on unknown 'monsters' near Lake Victoria, and excellent chapters detailing the effect of human settlement, disease, drought and war on game animals".
