How it works

Register

Percival spent thirty years in Africa, much of it as a member of the Kenya Colony Game Department. This book reflects his vast knowledge of the game and its habitat, with important descriptions of the terrain and numerous hunting adventures. The various species of Kenyan game are presented in chapters, and includes lion (7 chapters); leopard and cheetah; elephant (2); rhinoceros (2); hippo; buffalo (2); as well as chapters on plains game. Original embossed red cloth with bright gilt spine titles. Small bump to upper corner of front cover. Original endpapers firm and tight. Well illustrated with photo plates and large folding map. The scarce dust jacket is lacking a strip across the top of the front panel, but not affecting the titles. There is chipping to the top edge of the spine panel, a sealed tear to the lower corner of the rear panel, and normal handling wear.
