An good pair of first editions of W. R. Ogilvie-Grant's study of game-birds, illustrated with numerous bright chromolithographs. First editions. Complete in two volumes. Published as part of Lloyd's Natural History collection.

Uniformly bound in half leather with marbled boards. Comprised of a two-volume handbook on game birds written by Scottish ornithologist William Robert Ogilvie-Grant.

Volume I contains information surrounding sandgrouse, partridges and pheasants while Volume II covers megapodes, curassows, hoatzins, bustard-quails and more pheasants. Wonderfully illustrated with 40 vibrant chromolithographs.  

Uncut page edges. 304 and 316 pages. Clean an unmarked, in good condition.
