Blue skivertex covers with the title to the front board and spine. 367 pages. Black and white pictures. The green dust jacket has slight wear to the edges. 

The first page is an introduction towards this publication by the then General Manager Frik Blaauw. The very first blank page also indicates that this is the copy of Frik Blaauw. 

At the rear two original letters are attached. The one, with 3 leaves, addressed to Frikkie (the above General Manager), dated 1982.  The sender address is from Little Brenthurst, Parktown, the residence of the Oppenheimers.

The second letter is addressed to Blaauw and D Smith, De Beers Consolidated Mines, Koffiefontein. Dated 1992.  This is a letter from the author of this book, D C McGill. 

A rare-to-find copy of this elusive book, in good condition.
