Ownership inscription: "S.J. de Kock, 'Observer Gunner', 71st Battery, S.A.H.A." (listed in Battery Roll). Its predecessors were the South African Heavy Artillery Brigade, The Regiment Of South African Artillery, and No.3 (Transvaal) Battery, South African Heavy Artillery. A scarce South African WW1 unit history. Appendices gives dates and locations of positions occupied, decorations awarded, appointments, casualties, roll of honour.

Externally Very Good, wear at head of spine, internally pages are foxed but not affecting plates. Excellent shelf and table appearance.
