Publisher's green cloth-boards, gilt design to the upper panel and gilt lettering to the spine, plain black end-papers, Snow Peaks of Ruwenzori as frontispiece, xvi + 413 pp of text, appendixes (names of chiefs; altitudes; and a long one on scientific collections)and index + 49 further illustrations, some inserted and some in the text, + 4 inserted maps, 1 one-page, 1 (at the back) 12-fold monochrome, and 2 (at the back) 6-fold colour and 8-fold colour.

CONDITION. The boards are very good, with gilt bright, but with extremities bumped and rubbed. The binding is slightly soft but the tapes are holding. Both endpapers are superficially cracked. There are ownership details on the title-page. The copy is complete, otherwise unmarked, and undiscoloured, with all the illustrations and maps present and in very good condition, making this an unusually good copy of a rare book.
