Copy Number 21 of 50 copies specially bound in De Luxe style.

Original binding with a dark brown leather spine and corners with a lighter brown covering on the boards. Green title label on the spine with gilt titling and the publisher's device on the upper board.

This is volume number 40 in the Africana Collectanea Series of facsimile reprints. 

Six pages followed by the facimile of the original 1866 edition with xiii prelims, 289 pages and black and white illustrations.

A clean copy with signs of light use, including a book seller label on the front paste down and a few faint tape residue marks on the end papers. Six raised bands on the spine, wit a small mark where a wee bit of leather removed itself.
