First Edition: 2 volumes: 928 + 975 pages, profusely illustrated throughout with plates and maps, original dark green cloth with gilt titling on the upper covers and spines, prize labels on the front free endpaper of both volumes, front hinge of volume 2 weak, bookplate of the Wesleyan Chapel Bible Class, Longton on the front free endpapers and a gilt stamp on both back covers, overall a very  good set.
