Walter Battiss handwritten letter to his sister Doreen Louise. Dated 10 Feb 1970.

Unisa letterhead, Fine Arts department. Lovely whimsical handwriting 

Refers to a number of enclosed documents (now unfortunately lost and not included in this lot) such as marriage certificates including a photostat of his Irish grandfather's baptism certificate, who was a theatrical costumier at the time of writing.

Written in pencil in the margin: "'Pig and Whistle Inn' theory worth following up further"

Condition: Very good. No stains or yellowing. Two horizontal creases nad one creased corner. Holes from staples in top left corner.
