'C.S. Lewis's Miracles argues that miracles are logically possible and necessary for a Christian worldview, defining them as divine interventions in nature, not violations of its laws, by a supernatural Creator. He challenges naturalists by showing their worldview requires faith in an unproven "closed system" and that belief in God necessitates accepting miracles as normal expressions of a divine Creator's interaction with His world, culminating in the Incarnation, God becoming Man. Lewis aims to clear philosophical ground so readers can then examine historical evidence for miracles, particularly the central Christian miracle of Jesus.'

An interesting and scarce philosophical work published three years before Lewis's classic fantasy for children The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
