Chapman recounts his journey to Khartoum, then up the White Nile into Uganda. He hunted gazelle in the arid regions of the Sudan, then stalked tiang, hartebeest and roan near the Sobat River. As he continued up the White Nile, he bagged waterbuck, kob and lechwe. There are exciting encounters with buffalo, hippopotamus and elephant, the latter near the Zeraf River. Additional hunting for rhinoceros and eland took place near the Blue Nile and Dinder Rivers. A very good+ tight, clean copy with light rubbing to edges. Well illustrated with frontispiece map, photo plates, and numerous text illustrations. Original dark green ribbed cloth with bright gilt spine titles and warthog and buffalo vignettes on front and rear covers respectively.
