Inscribed on the front endpaper as follows, 'Aan Ferdie, Van harte dankie vir soveel! Danie Hough, Administrateur Generaal S.W.A./Namibia, 31/1/83'.

English translation: "To Ferdie, from the bottom of my heart thanks for everything! Danie Hough, Administrator-General South West Africa / Namibia, 31/1/83."

Daniel "Danie" Hough (1937-2008) was a South African politician who served as Administrator-General of South West Africa from September 4, 1980 to February 1, 1983. This book was inscribed on his final day in office.
