Fitzpatrick of Simmer & Jack East (and author of Jock of the Bushveld), Theodore Reunert, Carl Jeppe, H. M. Guest, H. Rider Haggard (author of King Solomon's Mines), Georg Schmitz-Dumont (President Kruger's Inspector of Mines - killed in action in 1900 at the Battle of Spioenkop).
