(1) Cape Dutch Houses and Farms. Plastic-protected dustjacket with wrap-around b/w photograph. Red cloth boards, gilt to upper panel and spine. Loose errata slip. Plain endpapers. 112 pp of b/w illustrated text and bibliography + 12 b/w area maps + [9] pp of index + 80 b/w plates on art paper.

(2) Wines of the Cape. Dustjacket with red and black illustration to the front cover. Maroon cloth boards, gilt to upper panel and spine. Plain endpapers. Monochrome line drawing as frontispiece. 96 pp of b/w illustrated text, appendixes and index + 4 inserted colour illustrations, one of which is a map printed on art paper.

De Bosdari came to the Cape from Europe for a short recuperation visit, but stayed a little longr and authored four books for Balkema's publishing firm, of which these are the two best known.
