Half-titles, titles with engraved vignettes, engraved headpiece at the head of the first page of poetry in each volume, occasional final engraved tailpieces, 1 plate in vol.III, 1 plate of engraved music in vol.IV. (Some toning and spotting) Contemporary polished tree calf, the flat spines gilt, divided into six compartments by rules and a decorative roll, red morocco lettering-piece in the second compartment, green morocco label with the volume number in the fourth compartment, the others with repeat decoration featuring a theatrical mask and musical instruments (damage to the lower compartment of the 2nd volume, some chipping to the head of the spines, some splitting to joints [see images]).
An attractive set of a later edition of this popular compilation.
