How it works

First Edition, Quarto, Hard-cover, bound in green cloth boards, and has 214 pages.

Black titles to the spine only. Pictorial dust-jacket in fair condition, with small tears along the edges and also has a large tear along the spine and some marks on the back.

This is a very uncommon book, and is an unusual account of the experiences of an intelligence officer and his wife travelling incognito through Southern Rhodesia, which is now Zimbabwe, during WW II, with vivid and often humorous local descriptions.

The book contains a frontispiece of the author and her husband, with many black & white photo illustrations and a sketch map of the Colony of Mozambique and surrounding territories (rear paste-down).

Previous owner’s inscription mark can be seen on the front end-page. Overall, the binding and the book are in fair condition.
