Doreen Greig was an architecture teacher at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her book remains an authoritative general introduction to and survey of her subject.
This is an unmarked and better copy than usually seen, marred only by the dustjacket, which is edge-chipped, has a 2 cm unclosed tear at the back and a sunned spine.
The two-tone cream paper-board covers are lightly edge rubbed. The endpapers are illustrated with a downtown Johannesburg photograph printed in orange. The 237 pp of text - illustrated with a hundred b/w photographs - appendixes and index are unmarked and bright.
