How it works

Presentation inscription from the compiler 'Tossie' Theron to title page. 250 x 214 mm; pictorial wrappers; unpaginated (but pp. 147); liberally illustrated with photographs of the artists and their works, including some colour. Wrappers slightly rubbed; sunned on spine; occasional fox spot. Very good condition.

This is an excellent compendium of the finest Eastern Cape art and artists, ranging from the well-known, such as George Pemba and his grandson Lizo Pemba, to several unheralded painters and sculptors, each of whom receives quite detailed attention.  "The present volume ... features the work of established artists with national and international reputations as well as the younger generation of artists whose work deserves attention."
