One of the half-bound maroon calf and red cloth copies presented to executives of the Chamber of Mines and goldmining groups. Bernstein was both chairman of Anglovaal and president of the Chamber of Mines. As well as his name inside the book, his initials are gilt-embossed on the top corner of the upper board. The copy is internally unmarked and undiscoloured.

The design and rules to the front, rules to the back, lettering to the spine and all page edges are gilt. The leather is rubbed and torn at the head of the spine, though with no loss. The first of the 2-col printed endpapers is cracked for 8 cm at the centre. Tipped-in frontispiece + xi + 20 pp of text describing the dancers and dances on matt paper + 120 pp of photographs and captions on art paper + 16 pp of discography and glossary on matt paper.
