The library years were not kind to this copy of a volume which can have a value of up to $150 in fine condition. The covers have been replaced with maroon library Skivertex and the endpapers have also been replaced, while only 10 of the 17 original battle and other maps have survived, with one or two of these torn or repaired. What's left, however, is a clean and complete reading copy of Montgomery's vivid text and sufficient maps to whet the appetite for a better copy when you can find one.
