Full-bound in maroon cloth with gilt lettering and blind rules to the upper panel and spine and a reproduction of a colour painting from A Mad Tea-Party pasted to the centre of the upper panel; colour-printed endpapers illustrating scenes from the book; tissue-protected colour frontispiece illustrating a scene from Alice's Evidence; half-title and title-pages, xvi pp of contents and list of illustrations, pp 21-332 of text with 47 further inserted single-sided colour plates, plus 8 pp of publisher's announcements
