This lot is being sold on behalf of the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library to raise funds. Original brown and cream mottled cloth boards with dark brown titling on the spine. Original dust jacket. Grey end papers. xx prelims, 299 pages, a few black and white illutrations and 146 full page colour plates. CONDITION DETAILS: The dust wrapper has creases, edge wear and chipping, a tear at the bottom of the spine. The front end papers are full of the usual library marks. The rear paste down has some loss of surface, but this is not noticeable as the dust jacket flap covers it. There are a few other, but more discreet library marks. The text and plates are clean.
