New York, American historical society, 1934.  Three volumes (a biography volume was issued later and is not included with this offering.) text is clean.  Illustrations throughout. Grey cloth, spines faded.  Light wear and staining to one cover.  

"The History of South Carolina" is considered a classic work on the state's history and is still used as a reference by historians today.
